Coming from the South-East of Europe, where agriculture is flourishing due to the fertile land, Mediterranean climate and longer hours of sunshine in general, I have been lucky to grow up eating abundance of fresh fruit, vegetables, nuts and grains. Healthy food has always been inevitable part of my diet and this is partly down to the fact that I lived with my retired grandparents who produced and looked after a variety of organic crops in the backyard of our house. Every year, I remember how excited I was for the summer to finally arrive, meaning my favourite sweet strawberries, succulent peaches and grapes, wholesome almonds and sunflower seeds would finally become ripe and ready to be picked. I enjoyed experimenting and trying out different meals with them, mixing and matching ingredients, melding all flavours into all sorts of delicious combinations.
This leads me to introducing Superfood Smoothies which is the culmination of my best tried and tested creations over the years. The 10 hand-picked recipes are super easy, quick to prepare and can be consumed on a daily basis. The wide variety of fruit, vegetables and superfoods, and the mixture of paleo, vegan, dairy-free, and many more guarantee a favourite smoothie for everyone.
